Yogurt Sauce

    This yogurt sauce (Masto'Khiar) can be made in advance. Simply mix all ingredients together in a bowl, taste & balance seasoning.

Basmati Rice
  • 01

    Rinse the rice thoroughly with water to remove any excess starch. Soak the rice with plenty of water for 30 mins (in a separate bowl or pot that you'll use to cook rice later), then drain. In a heavy bottom pot with the rice, add water, stir in oil & salt, bring to a boil over medium-high heat then cover pot & reduce heat to low.

    In a bowl mix ground beef with grated onions, turmeric, salt & pepper. Stir to incorporate then massage well, by hand, for a few minutes.
